I’m standing on corner of Westburn and Glenfuir with a bottle of beer and Voodoo Child being the soundtrack of the moment, I’m feeling pretty badass.

A thought sparks in my head.

I look skyward and think; I’ve been growing up in front of TVs, magazines and computers and I feel is I’m just in a cog in a wheel, easily replaced in society.

Five years have passed and I remember thinking while singing to dancing to bands like Less Than Jake and thinking I’ll never end up like that.

I was the one who said I’d the first to leave but I’m standing here 5 years down the line with my biggest dreams and dumbest ideas scattered all over in book and on scraps of paper.

It’s now 2am.
And I just passed the school buildings
I look at all the broken glass.

And think the way the light hit it is beautiful as anything hanging in an art gallery
as I try to shake the cold away, but anyway,
it’s late at night and I’m about to crack

But have I been thinking too much tonight?

When I realize how much of my life has gone by
